WELCOME TO THE PUENTE MOVEMENT

Human Rights Caravan

On March 6, 2010 The PUENTE Movement will depart Phoenix Arizona and embark on a three-week journey to ALERT communities of the Human Rights Crisis that awaits all of us if criminalization of working families continues. We will visit small and big cities along the route including Silver City, New Mexico, El Paso, San Antonio, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Raleigh, and others. On March 13 we will join Congressman Luis Gutierrez in Houston for a massive rally prior to the grand mobilization in Washington D.C. We will culminate our three week Caravan on March 21st 2010 massive march in Washington D.C

END ICE AND MCSO COLLABORATION

Starting on February 25th we are excited to kick off the “Dignity Not Detention” National Campaign. With a protest outside of the Phoenix ICE office we unite to demand that the Federal Government no longer cooperate with MCSO and Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

On our END ICE page is the letter that will be sent to the Federal Government, who are the people in charge of creating and allowing Sheriff Arpaio and MCSO to continually terrorize our community.

Please read and sign the letter! We wish to gain endorsements from as many individuals and organizations as possible who will join us in our demand to end Arpaio and ICE collaboration.
